Basketbal

Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of five players each, compete to score points by shooting a ball through the opponent’s hoop, a circular elevated net and rim called the basket. The game is played on a rectangular court with a hoop at each end. Points are scored by making field goals (two points for shots made inside the three-point line, and three points for shots made from beyond the three-point line) or free throws (one point each). Teams aim to outscore their opponents over a set duration, often divided into quarters. Basketball involves various skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive maneuvers. It is governed by a set of rules established by organizations like the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Basketball is popular worldwide, both as a professional sport and as a recreational activity.
