Tennis

Tennis is a racquet sport played between either two players (singles) or two teams of two players each (doubles). The objective of the game is to hit a ball over a net and into the opponent’s court in such a way that they are unable to return it successfully. The game is played on a rectangular court, which can be either grass, clay, or hard surface, and is divided by a net running across the middle. Points are scored when the opponent fails to return the ball within the designated court boundaries. Tennis is governed by specific rules and scoring systems, including points, games, and sets. The sport is known for its rich history, competitive tournaments, and is played both recreationally and professionally around the world. Major tournaments, known as Grand Slams, include the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
